Welcome to my home and the home of my Ancestors

Just over four years ago in an attempt to learn how to use a computer I decided to try tracing my Family Tree. With all the wonderful sites out there I thought it would be a great place to practice, and have fun at the same time.

Not in a million years did I ever think that I would be at this stage, a Family Tree with over 8000 people in it, living relatives that I never knew existed, building Web Sites and participating in research.

Yes this is Shannon !! Shannon, Quebec. A small Irish Community in the Heart of French Quebec that has held onto their roots for over 180 years.

In the early 1820's many Irish Immigrants settled the shores of the Jacques Cartier River 25km Northwest of Quebec City in Ste. Catherine, St. Raymond, Portneuf, Bourg Louis, Valcartier and Stoneham, to name a few.
